Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. (3oz. each) cream cheese with chives, softened to room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 to 3 drops liquid red-pepper seasoning
  • 2 pkg. (8oz. each) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Directions

  1. Blend together cream cheese. Parmesan, Worcestershire and pepper-seasoning; reserve.
  2. Unroll crescent rolls- do not separate at the perforations- then pat each of the 8 pieces so that it is as square as possible. Cut each piece in half. Place 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture down center of each piece of dough, then roll, jelly-roll fashion to enclose filling. Seal edges by crimping firmly with the tines of a fork.
  3. Place boreks seam side down on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake, uncovered, for about 15 minutes, or until browned. Slice each borek into 8 pieces. Serve hot.
  4. makes 16 boreks
