Ribbon Jell-O

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (4 serving size) each:
  • lime, orange, lemon and cherry gelatin
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pkg. unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Lightly grease a 9x 13-inch glass pan (or spray with cooking spray). Dissolve each package of flavored gelatin separately, adding each to 1 cup boiling water When powder is dissolved, add 1/2 cup cold water to each mixture.
  2. Pour lime gelatin into prepared pan and chill until set. Keep remaining gelatins at room temperature.
  3. Make sour cream layer: Heat 2 cups milk on medium-low heat. Add 1 cup sugar, stirring to dissolve. Remove fro heat. Dissolve 2 packages unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water Add to milk mixture. Mix well. Add 2 cups sour cream and 2 tsp vanilla. Mix well.
  4. When lime layer is set (after chilling at least 20 minutes or up to 45 minutes), top with 1 1/2 cups sour cream mixture. Chill until set. Add next layer of gelatin. Set. Add next layer of sour cream mixture. Set. Repeat with remaining layers, allowing each to set.
