Sauteed Cider Apples

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over high heat, combine cider, sugar and cinnamon sticks. Boil until reduced by half and thickened to a syrup, about 10 minutes.

  2. Remove cinnamon sticks, whisk in butter and add apples. Cook over medium heat until soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Serve hot.
