Caramel Crunch Ice-Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped or sliced almonds
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/3 cup crisp rice cereal, coarsely crushed

Directions

  1. In ma medium skillet melt margarine or butter. Add almonds, cook and stir over medium-low heat about 5 minutes or until browned.
  2. Add the corn syrup, brown sugar, and water to skillet. Heat and stir until bubbly and the brown sugar is dissolved (about 4 minutes). Stir in the rice cereal. Serve immediately over ice cream.
