Pecan Pralines

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar (divided use)
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 cups pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Brown 1 cup of the sugar in a thick skillet. Combine remaining 2 cups sugar, evaporated milk and butter in thick boiler or heavy sauce pan, let come to a boil. Add caramelized sugar, cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Add nuts and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Drop onto waxed paper to cool.
