Sticky Buns

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c milk, scalded
  • 1/3 c butter
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 pkgs dry yeast
  • 1/3 c warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 4 c sifted flour
  • 1/4 c molasses
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/3 c butter
  • 1/2 c pecans
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c raisins
  • 1 t cinnamon

Directions

  1. Step 1

  2. Combine milk, sugar, butter and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add yeast, egg and 1 c flour to milk mixture and beat until smooth. Gradually ad enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto floured surface and kneed until satiny. Place in greased bowl, turning until greased. Cover and let rise until doubled.

  3. Step 2

  4. Combine molasses, sugar and butter. heat until butter melts. Spread mix into two round greased pans. Sprinkle with pecans.

  5. Step 3

  6. Combine sugar, raisins and cinnamon. Set aside. Divide dough in half. Roll out and sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Roll up and cut into 12 slices. Arrange into two pans. Let rise until double. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
