Green Tomato-Cranberry Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 3 medium-size green tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large pear, chopped
  • 1 golden apple, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice

Directions

  1. Bake jalapeno pepper in a small pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, turning once; cool pepper to touch, remove seeds, and mince.
  2. Cook jalapeno and next 3 ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, 5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Stir in cranberry sauce, and cook 5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Stir in lime juice. Serve with meat, fish, or poultry.
