Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 baked 9-inch pastry shell, chilled
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 cups whipping cream, whipped

Directions

  1. Spread ice cream evenly in chilled pastry shell; freeze.
  2. Combine next 6 ingredients, mixing well. Fold in whipping cream. Spread pumpkin mixture evenly over ice cream; freeze pie.
  3. Remove pie from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
