Maple Campfire Toddy

Ingredients

  • For each drink:
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 (1/4 to 1/2-inch) slice lemon
  • 1 1/2 oz. smoky whiskey such as High West Distillery Campfire
  • 1 Tbsp. maple syrup, or to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (about 1 oz.)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Hot water

Directions

  1. Pierce the lemon slice with the cloves; set aside.
  2. In large mug, combine the whiskey, maple syrup and lemon juice. Stir well. Add the cinnamon stick and the clove-studded lemon. Top with hot water.
