Homemade Vanilla Extract

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 1 to 2 vanilla beans, split open or cut into small pieces
Directions
- In a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine vodka and vanilla beans. Store in a cool, dark place, shaking bottle every few days, for at least 3 weeks before using. Use extract and replenish with more vodka and vanilla beans every so often.
