Middle-Eastern-Spiced Beef, Tomatoes and Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 lb boneless beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp ground all spice
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 oz fresh green beans, 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Hot cooked couscous

Directions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high. Add beef in batches until browned on all sides. Remove to crock pot.

  2. Stir in tomatoes, onion, beans, sugar, cinnamon, garlic powder and all spice. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hrs.

  3. Stir in salt and pepper. Turn off heat. Let stand 15 minutes. Serve over couscous.
