Marvelous Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

• 2 Tbsp. butter
• 2 Tbsp. flour
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. pepper
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
• 3 cups cooked macaroni
• 1/4cup seasoned bread crumbs
• Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

1. Place butter in 1 to 1 1/2 quart microwave-safe casserole. Cook in microwave on high power 30 seconds to melt. Stir in flour, salt and pepper to form smooth paste. Slowly stir in milk.
2. Cook in microwave, uncovered on 80% power 6 to 8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until thickened.
3. Stir in cheese until it melts. Add macaroni and combine with sauce. Top with crumbs. Cook, uncovered, on high power 2 to 3 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
