Tomatillo Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 (7oz.) cans tomatillo sauce or salsa verde
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

  1. Saute chopped onion in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat until tender. Add tomatillo sauce and sugar; reduce heat, and simmer 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Stir together broth and cornstarch; gradually add to tomatillo mixture. Bring to a boil; boil 1 minutes. Serve immediately, or chill and cook over low heat to reheat.
