Bacon, Cheese and Rotel Tartlets

  • 1 (10 oz.) can diced tomatoes and green chiles, drained
  • 1 cup real bacon bits
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese *
  • 2 Tbsp. cream cheese, softened *
  • 2 pkg. Athens Fillo Shells, frozen


  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tomatoes and green chiles, the bacon and cheeses. Mix well. Spoon mixture into pastry shells. Arrange shells on a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and shells are golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.

    • The original recipe calls for 1 cup shredded cheese and 1 cup mayonnaise.
