Oriental BBQ-ed Calamari

Ingredients

  • ·1 onion, grated
  • ·4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ·1 tbsp Oriental Rub
  • ·1/4 tsp salt
  • ·1/4 cup oil
  • ·8 calamari tubes (or use 8 prawns or fish fillets)

Directions

  1. Combine all the ingredients, except the seafood, and blend until a smooth paste is formed.

  2. Cut the calamari in half lengthways and score a fine honeycomb pattern into the soft underside of the calamari.

  3. Brush the calamari with the Oriental paste and allow to stand for 15 minutes.

  4. Brush a griddle pan with oil and heat. Cook for about 2 minutes or until the flesh turns white and firm. Take care not to overcook the seafood.

  5. Serve the seafood immediately with griddle limes.
