Orange-Onion Chicken Bake

This chicken is also good served chilled and sliced in salads.

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 to 3 lb chicken parts
  • 1 6-oz can undiluted frozen orange juice
  • 11-1/4 oz pkg dry onion soup mix

Directions

  1. Soften orange juice to room temperature

  2. Mix with soup mix and allow to stand for 5 minutes.

  3. Place chicken pieces, skin side down, in a 2-quart casserole dish. Pour 2/3 soup-juice mixture over pieces.Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

  4. Remove and baste chicken with pan sauces.Bake an additional 20 minutes.

  5. Turn chicken pieces and pour remaining soup-juice mixture over the pieces. Bake 30 minutes, until brown on top. Baste as needed.
