Cheesecake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. cream butter with brown sugar in a small bowl. Add flour and walnuts, mix to make a crumb mixture. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remainder into bottom of 8-inch square pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
  3. Blend sugar and cream cheese into bowl until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla; beat well. Spread over baked crust and sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  4. Bake another 25 minutes. Cut into small squares.
