Hot as a Devil Green Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup fresh green chiles, diced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 1/2 cups whole kernel corn
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp red pepper sauce

Directions

  1. Remove the peel from the onion and cut into 1/4-inch pieces. Remove the peel from the garlic cloves and mince with a sharp paring knife. Peel the potatoes and cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Dice the green chiles with a sharp paring knife.

  2. Put the meat, onion and garlic in a large skiller and cook on medium-high heat until the meat is well browned; drain off grease. Put all ingredients in the slow cooker; stir well. Cover and cook on LOW 4-6 hrs.
