Southern-Style Barbecued Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt

Directions

  1. Cub the ribs into pieces that will easily fit into slow cooker. Cover and cook ribs on LOW for 4-5 hrs.

  2. Cut the onion and green pepper into dime-sized pieces. Combine the coffee, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire, vinegar, black pepper, garlic salt, onion and green pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed; pour mixture over the ribs and continue to cook covered on LOW 2-4 hrs.
