Cream Gravy

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. reserved chicken fried steak pan drippings
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Cook drippings in a heavy skillet over medium heat until hot; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until light golden brown. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt and pepper.
  2. 1 1/2 cups

  3. Note: Vegetable oil may be added to drippings to make 3 Tbsp. if necessary.
