Date Nut Kisses

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup dates, chopped
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Put egg whites in bowl with salt. Beat with fork until egg whites form a peak (not dry). Add sugar gradually, beating constantly; add vanilla. Fold in nut meats and dates. Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and bake until cookie has formed a crust on outside (about 12 to 15 minutes). Cool before removing from cookie sheet
