Sausage and Broccoli Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
  • 3 cups seasoned salad croutons
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of broccoli soup, undiluted
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1 can (2.8 oz.) French-fried onions

Directions

  1. Cook broccoli according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain.
  3. Combine the broccoli, sausage, croutons and cheese. Transfer to a greased 2-quart baking dish. In a bowl, combine the eggs, soup and milk. Pour over sausage mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 375 for 25 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with French-fried onions. Bake for 3-5 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
