Tuna Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) package egg noodles (7.5 cups dry)
  • 2 (6 oz) can tuna, drained
  • 1 can ( ozs) mushrom stems & pieces, drained OR
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen vegtables, thawed
  • 1 or 2 (10.75 oz) cans condensed cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 1/3-2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Topping: Crushed saltines dipped in melted butter OR
  • Crushed Potato chips
  • Paprika, tomato slices and fresh thyme, optional

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente, adding peas for the final 3 minutes of cooking; drain. Mix with Mushrooms, tuna.

  2. Mix mushroom soup, milk & salt/pepper. Add to Noodle mixture.

  3. Add topping. Bake @ 350 for 35-45 minutes or until heated through. If desired sprinkle with paprika or garnish with tomato and tyme.
