Cinnamon-Apple Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen escalloped apples, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 13 × 9-inch baking dish; set aside.
  2. Stir together granulated sugar and 1/4 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Roll each can crescent roll dough to a 10 × 14-inch rectangle.
  4. Combine apples and next 4 ingredients; spread evenly over each rectangle. Roll up dough, jellyroll fashion, pressing seams to seal; cur each roll into 16 (3/4 inch) slices and place in prepared baking dish. Drizzle with sugar syrup.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
