Pistachio Twists

Ingredients

  • 1/2 (17 1/4 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pistachio nuts
  • 1 tsp. ground red pepper or paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Unfold puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface, and roll to a 12-inch square, trimming edges with a knife.
  2. Brush side of pastry with 1 Tbsp. melted butter; sprinkle with nuts and ground red pepper. Fold dough in half, pressing to seal. Brush with remaining 1 Tbsp. melted butter; sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Cut pastry diagonally lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips. Twist strips, forming a spiral shape; place twists1 inch apart on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 450 degrees or 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire racks.
