Pasta Calabrese

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (24 oz.) Classico Riserva Marinara Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 16 fresh basil leaves
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 lb. cooked linguini

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onions and saute for 5 to 10 minutes or until translucent.
  2. Add Classico Riserva Marinara sauce to the skillet along with about a dozen basil leaves, coarsely chopped. Season with crushed red pepper to taste.
  3. Bring sauce to a low boil and then lower heat to simmer.
  4. Whisk in butter until melted.
  5. Serve on top of cooked pasta and garnish with remaining basil leaves.
