Key Lime Mullet

  • 2lb mullet fillets, or other fish fillets
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1dsh pepper
  • 1/4cup lime juice
  • 3tbl butter or margarine, melted
  • Paprika
  • Lime Wedges


  1. Skin fillets and cut into serving size portions.

  2. Place fish in a single layer in a shallow baking dish.

  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Pour lime juice over fish and let stand for 30 minutes, turning once.

  5. Remove fish, reserving juice.

  6. Place fish on a well greased broiler pan.

  7. Combine butter and juice.

  8. Brush fish with butter mixture and sprinkle with paprika.

  9. Broil about 4" from source of heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.

  10. Serve with lime wedges.
