Mother’s Parker House Rolls

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 cup scladed milk
  • 1 cake yeast or 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Disolve yeast in luke warm water. Add 1 tablespoon sugar. Heat milk and the rest of the sugar, the salt and the shortening. Cool to lukewarm. To the milkmixture, add ueast, egg, and flour until the dough forms an elastic ball. Place in greased pan. Let rise until doubled bulk. Cut into desired shape and let double again. Bake about 20 minutes or until golden brown at 375-400 degrees
