Orange-Ginger Steakhouse Sirloin

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 lb. boneless sirloin steak, 1 inch thick, fat trimmed
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Penne with Chunky Kalamata Olive Sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine steak sauce, sugar, orange peel, and ginger in a bowl. Place beef in a shallow baking dish; spoon half of the sauce mixture over steak. Turn often to coat thoroughly. Let stand 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat broiler. Lightly coat the rack of a broiler pan with cooking spray. Place beef on rack. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat for 15 to 17 minutes until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest portion reads 145 degrees (for medium-rare) or until beef reaches desired doneness, turning once.
  3. Transfer beef to a cutting board. Cut across
  4. the grain into thin slices. Spoon reserved sauce on top. Serve alongside Penne with Chunky Kalamata Olive Sauce, if desired.
