Caramel Apple Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 small apple
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup natural or Greek yoghurt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons caramel sauce, separated

Directions

  1. Peel, core and chop the apple into small chunks. Place into a microwave-safe container and toss with the ground cinnamon, until all the apple chunks are coated.
  2. Cook the apple chunks in the microwave for 2 minutes, until soft.
  3. In a medium-size bowl, stir together the oats, sugar, yoghurt and milk.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce into the bottom of a serving jar, top with 1/3 of the apple chunks and pour over 1/2 of the oatmeal mixture.
  5. Repeat previous step.
  6. Top with the final 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce and apple chunks.
  7. Place in the fridge and leave for at least 4 hours for the oats to soften.
