Charred Tomatillo Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. tomatillos
  • 1 small white onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Remove husks from tomatillos; rinse.
  2. Grill tomatillos and onion 6 minutes over medium-high heat, turning once. Add to a blender with all remaining ingredients. Puree until blended. Serve with chips or as a sauce for meat, fish or vegetables.
