Candy Bar Cookies

Ingredients

  • Cookie;
  • 3/4 c powdered sugar
  • 3/4 c softened butter
  • 2 tbsp whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c flour
  • Filling;
  • 28 caramels
  • 1/4 c whipping cream
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 c chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 c powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 c pecan halves (optional)

Directions

  1. at over to 325.

  2. floured surface roll half of dough to 12 × 8.

  3. Cut into 2 in. squares.

  4. Bake for 12-16 minutes. Cool

  5. Filling:

  6. Combine caramels, whpping cream and butter.

  7. Cook over low, stirring frequently, utnil melted and smooth.

  8. Remove from heat.

  9. Stir in 1 powdered sugar and pecans.

  10. Spread 1 tsp on each cookie.

  11. Glaze:

  12. Combine chips, whipping cream and butter.

  13. Cook on low until melted and smooth.

  14. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.

  15. Spread over cookies.
