Arkansas Style Chicago Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 London Broil or round steak
  • 3 to 4 cups water
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 rounded Tsp. black pepper
  • 1 rounded tsp. red pepper
  • 4 jalapeno sliced, seeded
  • 1 large onion, sliced, reserve until mixture is almost tender

Directions

  1. Trim fat and slice steak thin across the grain.

  2. Heat 3 to 4 cups water, mix soup, beef, garlic, peppers and spices. Adjust hot and spices to taste.

  3. Boil for 30 to 45 minutes until beef is tender.

  4. Serve mixture over crusty bread open face or toasted sub roll with Au Jus. French fries and pickles.
