Apsaragus Wrap-Ups

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 20 spears asparagus, cooked and trimmed to width of bread
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 20 slices white bread (crust removed)
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • paprika

Directions

  1. Blend together cream cheese and margarine. Add onion powder, garlic, powder, salt, Worcestershire sauced and bacon.

  2. Flatten each piece of bread with rolling pin. Spread thin coat of cheese mixture on each slice (reserve 1/2 cup cheese mixture to frost wrap-ups).

  3. Sprinkle each slice of bread with Parmesan cheese. Add an asparagus spear. Roll up bread; place seam side down on baking sheet, frost tops with reserved cheese mixture, ad sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and paprika.

  4. Cut each roll in 1/2 or 1/3 rounds. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 minutes or until golden in color.
