Banana Walnut Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly-packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 cups sift-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and lightly flour a 9 × 5 × 3 inch loaf pan.

  2. Combine the butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Beat until well mixed. Add eggs, vanilla extract and bananas. Beat just until mixed. Gradually add flour and mix until blended. Stir in walnuts.

  3. Pour into prepared pan and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of loaf. Remove from pan immediately.
