Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 C flour
  • 1 C sugar
  • 3/4 C milk
  • 1 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 6-7 peaches ripe but not bruised. Fruit mixed with up to 1/2c sugar

Directions

  1. Melt butter in 8 or 9 inch casserole going to cook cobbler in. No larger diameter casserole or dish.

  2. Only melt butter and take out oven. Don’t want it to cook or burn

  3. In separate bowl Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and add milk

  4. Then:

  5. Pour into butter BUT DO NOT STIR TOGETHER

  6. Add sweetened fruit. DO NOT STIR

  8. about 55 minutes or 1. hour at 350 deg-put something under casserole in case filling spills over
