Dinner Rolls/Bread Machine

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg rapid rise or active dry yeast
  • 1/4 C warm water
  • 3 C flour
  • 1 1/4 t salt
  • 3 T sugar
  • 6 T unsalted butter-room temp
  • 1/4 C nonfat dry milk
  • 1/2 C potato flakes (instant mashed potatoes)
  • 1 1/8 C warm water (may need a little more after machine mixes dough for a few minutes)

Directions

  1. Put everything in dough machine except yeast mixture

  2. Opt 1:Dough machine cycle (is 1 hr*30 min)

  3. Remove dough,with well floured hands, roll into 18 balls, freeze in greased muffin pans

  4. Can remove and put in baggie and defrost amount desired and cook

  5. Option 2:

  6. After dough cycle is done, roll dough into 16-18 ball, using well floured hand and roll balls lightly in flour

  7. Place in greased muffin tin, spray tops of rolls, cover with sprayed wax paper and let rise in oven

  8. It takes 4-5 or more hours to rise.

  9. Bake rolls at 350 deg for 22-25 minutes. Remove when browned, can brush with soft butter
