Crescent roll/ chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 oz pkg cream cheese- softened
  • 2 T soft butter
  • 2 C cooked chicken or 2 cans of 5 oz chicken
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 2 T milk
  • 1 T chopped onion
  • 1 T chopped pimento
  • 1 8 oz can crescent rolls
  • 3/4 C seasoned bread crumbs-for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 350 and bake 20-25 minutes, until golden brown

  2. Makes 4 sandwiches

  3. In bowl combine cream cheese AND only 2 T butter (save 1 T butter for later)

  4. Add next 6 ingredients

  5. separate cresent roll dough into 4 rectangles

  6. Fill with chicken mixture-make purses.

  7. Brush with remaining 1 T butter and top with seasoned bread crumbs

  8. Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes

  9. Separate crescent rolls into 4 triangles

  10. Fill triangles with chicken mixture

  11. Fold triangles and seal at top-like purses

  12. Top each with reserved butter and roll tops and sides of purse in seasoned bread crumbs

  13. Brush with remaining 1 tbs butter and top with seasoned bread crumbs
