French Toast / in 9X13-Marlene

Ingredients

  • 1/2/ C melted butter
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • 1 loaf texas toast (can remove crust)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 C milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 T conf sugar to egg mixture
  • For top before refrigerate
  • light layer butter
  • light layer white sugar
  • cinnamon

Directions

  1. Melt butter and add brown sugar

  2. Pour into bottom of greased 9X13

  3. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla

  4. Add a single layer of texas toast to pan

  5. Pour 1/2 egg mixture over bread

  6. Second layer texas toast

  7. Pour remaining egg mixture onto second layer of toast

  8. Cover top with light layer of butter, white sugar and cinnamon

  9. Cover/Chill overnight

  10. Bake 350 deg for 45 minutes- covered first 30 minutes and uncovered last 15 minutes

  11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar

  12. Serve portions upside down onto plate
