Super Simple Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta shells or corkscrews
  • 1 pound medium cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt (or more to taste)

Directions

  1. PREHEAT oven to 325 degrees. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil over high heat. Add pasta, stir once, and cook until al dente. Drain pasta well.

  2. COAT a 13-by-9-inch baking dish by with nonstick spray.

  3. SPREAD half the pasta in the prepared dish. Sprinkle with half the grated cheese. Top with remaining pasta and sprinkle with remaining cheese. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Whisk in the milk and salt. Pour the egg mixture over the pasta and cheese. Do not stir. Cover with aluminum foil or a lid; bake 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake an additional 15 minutes. Never stir pasta while baking.
