Apple-Peanut Crumble

Ingredients

  • 5 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup margarine OR butter, at room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp. peanut butter

Directions

  1. Place apples slices in slow cooker.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix in margarine or butter and peanut butter with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

  3. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours. Serve warm, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
