Fudgy Brownies

You can double the recipe but still use a 13×9 inch pan. That makes them nice and thick! After 40 minutes of baking, turn off the oven and let them sit in for about 10 or 15 more minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Stir cocoa and baking soda in a bowl.

  2. Blend in 1/3 c oil. Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens.

  3. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining 1/3 c oil; stir until smooth.

  4. Add flour, vanilla, and salt; blend completely.

  5. Pour into lightly greased 13×9 inch pan.

  6. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
