Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or shortening
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 or 3 (5-cent-size LOL 40 years ago maybe) Baby Ruth candy bars cut in small pieces
Directions

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg. Add flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla; mix well. Stir in candy bar pieces. Chill and drop by half-teaspoonfuls onto greased cookies sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
