Baker’s Chocolate and Mocha Sweethearts

Ingredients

  • 4 squares Baker's Unsweetened Baking chocolate
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup General Foods International Coffee, any flavor
  • 6 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking chocolate, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (or 325 degrees if using a glass baking dish). Line 13 × 9-inch baking pan with foil. Grease foil.

  2. Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwave bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and flavored instant coffee; stir until well blended. Spread into prepared pan.

  3. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not over bake. Cool in pan.

  4. Cut brownies into shapes with a 1 1/2 inch heart-shaped cookie cutter. Dip the top of each brownie heart into melted semi-sweet chocolate. Refrigerate until chocolate is set.
