Snickerdoodles

Serves 9 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp - all purpose flour
  • (cookie topper)
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Cream the butter and 3/4 cup sugar together until fluffy

  3. Add egg into creamed mixture, beat until mixed well

  4. Add baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, mix until smooth.

  5. Mix in 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in separate bowl – set aside

  6. Form cookie dough into 1" BALLS and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture

  7. Place on uncoated cookie sheet

  8. Bake @ 350 degrees for 8 min

  9. Makes about 18 cookies
