Baked Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, peeled and quartered
  • 2 oranges, peeled and sectioned
  • 1 can (16 oz.) cranberry sauce
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pineapple slices, halved, drained
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup light molasses
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Combine fruits, gently stirring with fork to break up cranberry sauce.

  2. Mix molasses and butter in a small saucepan. Blend cornstarch and water and add to molasses mixture. Heat, stirring, until thick.

  3. Arrange fruit in a 1/2-quart baking dish; pour molasses sauce over fruit.

  4. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve hot as an accompaniment to turkey, chicken or ham.
