Spicy masala shrimp

  • ·4 tbsp Masala Rub
  • ·1 tbsp Hot Rub
  • ·2 tsp salt
  • ·4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ·1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • ·1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ·125 g butter, melted
  • ·20 raw unpeeled large shrimp
  • ·20 bamboo skewers, soaked in water


  1. Combine all the ingredients, except the shrimp, and mix to form a smooth paste.

  2. Rub the paste into the shrimps to coat evenly.

  3. Skewer each shrimp on to the end of a single skewer, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  4. Grill in a griddle pan, 3 minutes per side, taking care not to overcook the shrimp.
