Crunchy Asian Noodle Salad

Serves 7 people

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz coleslaw mix or shred a head of cabbage
  • 2 3 oz pkgs oriental flavor instant ramen noodles,
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 4 oz sesame seeds toasted
  • 4 oz slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 c veggie oil
  • 1/3 c white wine vinegar or 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c sugar

Directions

  1. Place sesame nd almonds on a microwave, safe sheet and cook until browned. Watch carefully!

  2. Mix cabbage, sesame and almonds together in a large bowl.

  3. DREESING:

  4. Mix the spice packets from the noodles with the green onions, oil, vinegar and sugar shake or stir until well blended then refrigerate.

  5. When ready to serve:

  6. Break raw ramen noodles and fry with a little melted butter and some seasoning from one of the packets. Just for a bit.

  7. Put noodles on salad and pour dressing over mix well. May want to pour less and add more dressing as needed.
