Banana Pops

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, peeled
  • 8 wooden popsicle sticks
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. (1 cup) Nestle Semi-Sweet Real Chocolate Morsels, Milk Chocolate morsels, or Butterscotch Morsels
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Shredded coconut (optional)

Directions

  1. Cut bananas in half crosswise. Insert wooden stick in end of each and freeze.

  2. Melt morsels over hot (not boiling) water; stir in shortening. Coat each banana half with chocolate or butterscotch mixture, roll immediately in nuts or coconut, if desired. Wrap each pop in aluminum foil or put in freezer bags and store in freezer.
