Barb’s Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, peeled
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 2 large cans whole tomatoes with juice
  • 1 can diced jalapeno peppers
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. dried OR 1 to 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
  • salt to taste
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Directions

  1. Place onion and garlic in a food processor. Pulse until chopped. Transfer to a large bowl with a lid.

  2. Place tomatoes with juice in food processor and pulse 3 or 4 times, leaving tomatoes rather chunky. Add tomatoes to onion ad garlic mixture. Add jalapeno peppers and cilantro and mix well. Add salt to taste. Chill and serve with tortilla chips.
